Richard C. Donnelly, President and founder of Donnelly Wealth Advisors, Inc. started his career in the financial services profession in 1981. Rich initially worked with one of the largest national firms and then formed his own wealth management firm in 1997. The firm is an independent investment and financial planning firm serving successful families and corporations. Our approach is built on a philosophy that your wealth should be aligned in such a way that it enables your life, not the other way around. The result is not so much a single, rigid, financial solution, but a vital process in which your wealth is always at the service of your life.
Rich was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to San Diego in 1973. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1975 and did his Graduate work for an MBA in Finance at the University of San Diego. He completed the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) program in 1988 and then went on to attain the Certified Investment Management Analyst credential (CIMA) in 1996. Rich was granted the Certified Life Planner® credential from the Kinder Institute of Life Planning in 2008. He has been an active member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) since 1995. Rich was one of the first in the nation to receive the Certified 401(k) Specialist designation and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Rich enjoys spending his free time playing golf, bicycling, hiking, and traveling. He is on the board of Tender Loving Canine Assistance Dogs (TLCAD, a group that trains dogs to assist wounded warriors and autistic children.) He lives in La Jolla with his wife, Joscylen, and son, Brian.
